Backstrap Fever

Someone hit this 10 point buck in front of our neighbor's house. We were there first and got a tag from the sherriff to take him. Cars kept stopping wanting to take him so luckily we were there first. Chris called a friend who he is going to bowhunt with this year and he taught us the ropes of field dressing a deer. Then came the fun part of making steaks out of the backstrap and grinding the rest. We cooked some up with butter, salt, and italian herbs and it was great. Hoping to use the dehydrator to make some jerky.
