Introducing...

With our affinity for smoked ribs and pulled pork it was high time we get a closer source for our pork...Our backyard. We are still arguing over his name. Pork Butt, Bacon, Pork Chop, Piggy Wiggy, Pig, Buck..any thoughts? And before you say.."but your kids will get too attached".. These are the same kids that watched as their dad butchered deer, chickens, and their rabbit named Snowball and think its the tastiest food ever. (We actually wrote Snowball on the freezer bag - yes we are demented) He is a Duroc Boar and like all of our other farm adventures has been a very educational experience. If all goes well we may extend the pen and try 2 in the spring. Anyone want to order some home grown pork??
