Mama's Boys

Tuesday night Myrona's hemoglobin dropped from a 12 down to a 6. They did not want to start iron pills yet because they can cause constipation. Not good for someone that just had a c-section. She felt very weak from being so anemic but they decided to monitor her through the night. When the nurses came in Wednesday morning her lips were blue and she had dropped even more. The Dr. was worried she could slip into a coma so she received 2 blood transfusions on Wednesday. After the first one her color already started to return. After the second transfusion she was back up to an 8 and by evening already felt more energy. The whole episode brought back bad memories of when Heber was born and Myrona blacked out in my arms while I grabbed for the emergency cord. All this while Heber was in the NICU 5 miles away. We had no issues with the girls. We must have rough boys! Anyways we are very happy and blessed that Myrona is doing well now. She walks slightly faster than a turtle and her lips are red again. They cleared her to go home today with the option to stay another day. We decided she might as well stay an extra day in the hospital to rest as much as possible. Should be home tomorrow (Friday). The kids are very excited!

Glad to hear both Myrona and Thomas Mack are well. Congrats on the beautiful baby boy!

Quick question: Is Myrona related to Lewis Tenney, president of the Snowflake Temple?

Sounds like those boys are in a life-long debt to their mother!
