Harvest Time

Now that Fall is here, here is a salute to summer! We had fun harvesting pears, watermelon, corn, peas, tomatoes, carrots, raspberries, juneberries, and cantaloupe all in the backyard! We have jars of salsa, tomatoes, pear sauce, raspberry jam, juneberry jam, and lots of sunflower seeds for eating and birdfeeding. We have bags of corn, sweet peas, and raspberries in the freezer. We tied up all the dry corn stalks to make a fun Fall decoration. Then we had a bonfire in the garden to clear it all out and welcome in Fall. Goodbye summer until next year!
